younseokseo2004@gmail.com Dr. Seo graduated from Seoul National University, School of Medicine and he is an ENT Head Neck Surgeon in U.S. He made his literary debut through the Korean poetry monthly magazine Simunhak in 2010. His publications include a book of essays, <Hello Doctor Seo>, and three poetry books, <Gracious Maria>, <My House Where Dandelions Bloom>, and <Callous Cloud>. He is also co-author of two collecions of poetry, <I Am Homeland>, and <Ebb and Flow>.
He has been the editor-in-chief of Sigetop, the alumni newspaper of Seoul National University School of Medicine since 2016. Dr. Seo is also a member of International PEN Literary Society, Washington Yoondongjoo Literary Society, and Korean Modern Poetic Association in Korea. He received the Palbong Literature Award, the Yoondong Joo Special Literature Award, the Miju-poetry Special Literature Award, and the Hamchoon Contribution Award.

<시인 과 시> The poet and Poem with Grace Cavalieri 미국 국회도서관 녹음 방송 서윤석 지난 5월 9일 매릴랜드 계관 시인 Grace Cavalieri 의 초청을 받고 여덟편의 내 영시를 낭송하는 < The poet and the poem >프로그램 방송에 나갔다. 되돌아보면 나는 고등학교 시절 부터 원고료 심부름을 해드렸던 청파동 2가 효창국민학교 정문앞에 사시던 이어령 선생님을 비롯하여 소설가 장용학, 평론가 신동욱 선생님 같은 훌륭한 분들 한테서 문학수업을 받았다. 그러나 좋아는 했지만 처음부터 나는 문학에 매달릴 수 없었다. 다만 의예과 시절에 일기를 썼을 뿐이다. 본과에 올라가면서 부터는 마음을 가다듬고 의학공부와 가정교사를 하면서 학비를 벌어야 했다. 그때 쓴 일기장이나 의예과 졸업장을 형님한테 마끼고 1972년 미국으로 왔지만 이젠 그 행방이 묘연하다. 젊은 시절의 아름다운 이야기도...
